I remember my first trip to the Grand Canyon a few years ago. I wondered back then how many people had walked on the same trail I was on and noticed that the wildlife that seemed unperturbed by human activity was a large part of how cool this famous American landmark really was.

The first time I met her it was sort of out of the blue. It was at a UConn men's soccer game and I spotted her in the stands there. I was so nervous because it wasn't like I was expecting to see her there, so I blurted out the dorkiest things when I was talking to her. I felt like such an idiot, but Sue was just so nice and funny she didn't even care that I sounded star-struck.
